#3 – November 24
Hello and welcome back to another newsletter. I’m finally back to normal life after moving into a new apartment last week so there’s definitely more to come soon.
After the last newsletter focused on one big project and going into more detail I thought I’d try something different this time by just showing a couple cool projects I shot over the last couple months. Please let me know which format you prefer. Focusing on one singe project with more details or just a bunch of different stuff.
WKO Oberösterreich
A couple months ago I was part of a production for WKO Oberösterreich. The great guys from Puplmedia asked me to shoot some cover shots for their Video. You can find the final video here and more information about the project on my website.
Römerquelle – Chef Kampagne
I got to shoot some pictures of a couple chefs all over Austria with the Good Life Crew for Römerquelle. The campaign was centered around four high end chefs celebrating the hard times of their lives with the slogan “Ein Hoch auf die Tiefen”.
You can find more about this project on my website.
Edmund – “Legende” Music Video
A friend of mine and great director René Rodlauer recently directed the new music video for the Austrian band Edmund. He asked me to join the team to shoot some portrait and the cover for the single. It was so much fun working with and meeting so many really cool people on set. You can find more pictures on my website and the music video on YouTube.
Personal Project
Besides working on really nice projects for other people I also managed to fit in a couple personal projects for myself.
Here is a test I shoot in the new Studio IYKYK. I just wanted to take some nice and intimate portraits of interesting people, play with lighting and colored background. More on my website.
Podcast
I had some amazing conversations on my podcast “Gestatten Sie?!” again. Here are some of my Favorites.
A really personal conversation with director, producer and photographer Valentin Boschi about the people you surround yourself with, imposter syndrome, failing, why you shouldn’t define your worth through your work and how to tell stories that trigger emotions.
The CEO of the creative agency OBSCURA Christian Gstöttner talked about the importance of agency culture, the declining relevance of advertising and why authenticity and courage are crucial for successful campaigns.
Last but not least I talked to photographer and artist Thomas Albdorf about some of the central questions in photography and the changes the industry is currently undergoing. About AI as well as the challenges that arise from it’s reliance on the past.
Things I’ve seen or heard
Great viennese photographer Max Manavi-Huber recently shot some beautiful work for Nike. Definitely go and check it out on his website and instagram.
The speciality shop for photo books, art books, indie magazines & zines “Softcover” regularly host really cool events, workshops, book presentations and artist talks. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in Vienna and love beautiful books or magazines. You can find their upcoming events here.
That’s it for this month. Please let me know what format you prefer, multiple shorter posts or more in depth posts. Also let me know what kind of content you would be more interested in in general.
Have a great day and smile at someone today :)
Talk to you soon
